Wekiva...

 A Special Place to Live
Wekiva is one of the most desirable neighborhoods in Seminole and Orange Counties. Thanks to developers who took special care to retain as many trees as possible, nature's beauty still surrounds us today. Wekiva has over 145 acres of common areas, including seven parks!

In addition to the amenities listed in our menu, Wekiva also offers.
  • Public Library
  • Two Publix grocery stores.  One at each end.
  • Private Golf Club
  • Excellent Elementary School
  • 25 miles of walking / biking trails throughout the community

Wekiva Trivia

Did you know that...
  • Wekiva was originally part of Mosquito County in the 1800's?
  • In the 60's and early 70's Wekiva was a hunting club, thus the names "Wekiva Hunt Club", and "Fox Hunt".
  • The land of Wekiva was purchased in 1972 for $3,600 per acre. With a total purchase price of 4 million dollars, it was reported to be the largest all-cash land purchase in Seminole County history.
  • The credit for Wekiva, as it exists today, belongs to Harlan Hanson. He was the land planner for the property.
  • Originally, Wekiva was to have much more commercial development inside the "circle" of Wekiva Trail.
