 Security Report

My career in Law Enforcement began Halloween night 1956!  I got to ride in my father's patrol car chasing teens around our neighborhood... I was hooked!

Moving on to January 21st 1985, Sheriff John Polk took a chance and hired me as a Seminole County Deputy Sheriff and the rest is history.

After my retirement dinner, a deputy sent me a message on my Facebook, “ The end of an era.” I sent back, “Maybe the end of an error!” All kidding aside, I spent the last 27+ years doing the job... oops it wasn’t a job... but my whole life! Trying to be the best Deputy that I could possibly be.  I tripped and stumbled a few times, but over all, I didn’t do too bad.  I worked the Wekiva area most of my career. I started working for Wekiva around 1992. I took over as the Job Coordinator a few years later. I have had the pleasure of writing this news letter article since that time. As you may have noted, the other deputies have written recent letters... the better to wean me out of here. Many memorable incidents have taken place from arresting bad guys to delivering a baby. The kids I chased around over the years now have kids that I’ve chased around. It is always cool to stop a teen and let him know I have his dad on speed dial! I have made a lot of friends and very few enemies. I can’t go to the grocery store without seeing one of my people. Thanks to Sheriff Eslinger for putting up with me and all of you for your unending support and for helping me to have the best life anyone could ever ask for. I am now patrolling my 2 beautiful grand babies... it should keep me busy!

 Thanks.
